University of Maine Cooperative Extension is hosting a Summer Field Day on Integrated Disease and Weed Management for Christmas Trees.
Participants will learn how to apply crop protectants by using directed sprayers safely and efficiently, and be provided an update on emergent best management practices for reducing tree loss caused by Phytophthora root rot in Christmas tree production. Also, the participants will learn about the considerations for establishing a Christmas tree plantation from an integrated weed management perspective and an update on problem weeds in Maine Christmas tree plantations.
