Join BPC and UMaine Cooperative Extension for a Virtual Structural Recertification Meeting Featuring Distinguished Speaker and Expert Dr. Dini Miller
The Maine Board of Pesticides Control, in cooperation with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, are pleased to offer a free, virtual recertification training on structural pest management with a focus on cockroaches. The training will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
We are excited to have Dr. Dini Miller, an internationally recognized expert in urban pest management, at this meeting to speak about new assessment-based pest management strategies for controlling German cockroaches. Dr. Miller works regularly with the pest management industry, apartment managers, schools, shelters and other stakeholders to understand the challenges they face, and help them reduce their pesticide exposure risk when remediating urban pest infestations.
Program attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from a pest control company explaining their approach to cockroach infestations in Maine. The Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Health Inspection Program staff, will discuss considerations when making a decision to close or reopen a business, and what they are looking for from pest control professionals in this process. A BPC staff member will deliver a BPC Update with important information for licensed pesticide applicators.
Pre-registration is required to attend. Register here!
This program is approved for three pesticide applicator recertification credits.
