This event is IN-PERSON, and pre-registration is required. From the SBA Event Website:“As an industry crucial to the nation’s food supply chain, we understand your businesses are forced to navigate an intricate network of federal, state, and local regulations. The interactive hearing-listening session is designed to gather input directly from you about specific hurdles you face, including wetland-conservation determinations, loss of program eligibility, and PFAS as an RCRA hazardous constituent. Our goal is to understand the pain points and the economic impact regulations have on your operations, and we welcome you to attend to share your candid, real-world experiences with SBA leadership as well as our other Federal partners in attendance.”Additional SBA Listening Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, in Bangor, Wednesday, September 2, in Portland, and Thursday, September 3, in Portsmouth, NH. These events are not focused on hearing from farmers; however, they may still be a meaningful opportunity for those not able to attend in Presque Isle.RegisterMaine State Government is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
