The event kicks-off with introductions and networking at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024, second-floor of the Augusta Civic Center, as part of the Maine Agricultural Trades Show.
Who should attend: Any farmer, food production, hospitality and/or recreation business, or business service provider looking to find resources, create business relationships, and support agritourism in Maine. All awareness levels welcome.
Who’s presenting: Hear from Real Maine staff, and other State of Maine partners, including Department of Economic and Community Development’s Maine Office of Tourism, Domestic Trade Program; plus The Maine Health Inspection Program, and DACF’s Agritourism Course Coach, Chadley Hollas.
Why attend: The Maine Agritourism Summit is an important milestone in nearly a decade of work by DACF and partners to enhance agritourism resources for Maine farms. The Summit aims to expand efforts to support a variety of farm businesses and organizations who seek to network, receive current training on best practices for hosting agricultural events, and learn about agritourism and business planning resources.
