It is an honor to invite you to the University of Maine’s grand opening of the Witter Center Dairy Barn! We hope you can join the celebration:
April 2, 2025
11:00am to Noon (optional tours following)
160 University Farm Road

The barn is part of the modernization that will increase student and faculty productivity and provide a public education opportunity for Maine dairy farmers and thousands of visitors.
The new barn has a DeLaval VMS Series V300 milking robot, a 50-cow free-stallsystem, and staff offices. The investment is part of UMaine’s land-grant mission of conducting original research, investigation, and experiments which contribute to the establishment and maintenance of the agricultural and natural resource industries in the United States.
We hope you can attend, and we would appreciate an RSVP. For folks interested we have several naming opportunities (umaine.edu/wittercenter). Please contact us:
