View as a webpage / ShareThe following University of Maine Cooperative Extension news item is being sent to DACF subscribers as a courtesy.Greenhouse Technology Workshops Offered October 17 What: Two workshops – “Basics/Refresher of Greenhouse Technology” and “Greenhouse Lighting”When: Saturday, October 17, 2026, 12:30 and 3:00 pmWhere: Bosarge Education Center, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, BoothbayFor: Home gardeners, aspiring growers, educators, and others interested in using greenhouse technology to extend Maine’s growing season and improve plant productionCost: $20 each; $40 for both”Basics/Refresher of Greenhouse Technology” will introduce greenhouse structures and covering materials, heating, cooling, ventilation, automation, environmental controls, and practical, cost-effective approaches to common greenhouse challenges.”Greenhouse Lighting” will focus specifically on the role of light in greenhouse crop production and practical approaches to managing and supplementing light. Capacity is 100 seats for each talk. Please park in the Gardens’ dedicated Education lots, accessed by making your first right after entering the main gate.
